Lookup Actual Album Name to Replace Compilation Name in Album Field

So I have a large collection of compilations. Unfortunately, the album name is the name of the compilation, not the actual album name. Is there a way without going one by one to replace all of these names? For Example, Don McLean - American Pie - American Pie instead of Don McLean - American Pie - 50 Years of Rock and Roll.

Please let me know if this is possible,

It's possible if the actual album name is somewhere stored in the tag of the file.
