LRC files to follow changes to mp3 files

Is there a way to rename the MP3 files while simultaneously applying the same changes to the associated .lrc files in the same folder? I have a collection of MP3s along with their corresponding LRC files, and I intend to move/rename the MP3 files without messing up the LRC files.

I haven’t honestly no. I assumed it doesn’t do that, that’s great.
Yes I am using macOS version, is that feature not supported on macOS ?

Still, could you please use the Mac section of the forum if your topic arises from the Mac environment? There may be some (minute) differences which still may cause irritation if you get linked to not quite fitting pages, e.g. like here the changelog or perhaps the documentation.

It's currently not supported with the Mac version of Mp3tag. I've added this to my internal wish list and will keep you posted.

does this work on .txt lyrics as well ?
if not can this be added please
