I have an issue where when I add in the library of files I am looking to tag, the pop up comes up to match tracks to the right source. When I press next, the app just freezes.
Can you send a screenshot of this popup when it’s in this unresponsive state?
Is this also happening when you choose one of the Discogs Tag Sources?
Yes I tried changing to them as a different tag source and it still freezes.
Do you have any firewall or other app that might block access?
It's unlikely that this is the case, because it already shows the search result, but I don't have any other good ideas right now.
What version of macOS are you using, so that I can try to reproduce under that exact environment?
Another possibility is that another window (maybe an error message) appears, but is hidden behind the currently active window. I agree, it's very unlikely, but worth trying.
The standard keyboard shortcut to cycle through windows of the same app is ⌘`
- Command–Grave accent (`): Switch between the windows of the app you're using. (The character on the second key varies by keyboard. It's generally the key above the Tab key and to the left of the number 1.)
Still not working for me Florian.
What I’m trying to do is tag my whole music library of 16k songs with the relevant tags so that Rekordbox can sort them into the right playlists.
My library is on dropbox so is that something you could help me with on your end if I send you a link privately please?
Are you loading Tag Sources with your whole library selected?
The feature works on a per-album level, so you usually use Tag Sources only with a couple of files that belong to a certain release (and not hundreds of files at once).
Please see this topic for a description of the general process:
Yes, I’m trying to do this for my whole library. Would you be able to kindly accommodate this for me? As you can imagine, with excess of 16k songs, I’d be most grateful to you.
Thanks.
The tool only works on one album at a time. It would be unwise to run this blindly on a mass basis as you would have no way of confirming the accuracy of each of the matches found.
I realize you have a large library. Just work on it in chunks until you get it to where you want it to be. You will be much happier with the proper results in the end.
