Mac version some of the tags did not work

I have purchased Mac version a while ago, I used it to edit tags for my ripped music collections, I have a lot of Chinese albums ripped to external hard drive, I use PiCorePlayer to play all the musics, but a lot of albums artist shows "various" even I used Mp3tag to change it to a specific artist name in chinese, and Pm3tag showed it has been changed, but PiCorePlayer still shows that change has not made, why is that?

I would start here as this is likely the issue. Refresh the App Library for PiCorePlayer, or if that isn’t working you may have to completely restore it.

Most devices, including iBasso, do not create a genre. These are pulled from the tags in your files. Most are now using some form of Android as their OS and you can install other media player apps. Thank you both for the suggestions, I will try to clear the library cach first to see if it helps, also will swap to Volumio player to see what happens.
