can mp3tag have easy feature to remove white space at end and beging of field as well as remove numbers ,hyphen with a simply comment or feature instead of using code that are not ready available to user can a simple feature be in place, like remove number white space simlpler feature in menue.
As soon as you have created an action (group) to deal with these modifications, the function is available at mouse-click and tailored esp. to your environment - and that more or less immediately without the need to wait until it is implemented.
There are numerous threads that deal with each of the problems and guide what to do to get such a collection of actions in an action group.
A note on removing leading numbers: a global function without any further patterns will remove anything from titles like the Eurythmics "1984" or Prince's "1999".
Other pieces, esp. in classical music feature "1. Akt" or "2. Akt".
Removing punctuation would probably also remove question marks and exclamation marks. Would that be desirable?
Even the full stop may cause problems in Madness' "4 A.M."
So even if such a selection would make it easier in some case, it would cause havoc in just as many cases (IMHO).
I see individualized functions for each special case to be a better way.
