Meta Data Editor is missing

I’ve used MP3Tag for years. I recently upgraded to v.3.33 and I no longer see the Meta Data Editor pane at all (it has always been on the left) – all I see is a table of the list of tracks (Filename, Path, Track, Artist, etc).

What do I need to do to view the Meta Data Editor?

Meta Data Editor

I think you refer to the tag panel.
Try
View>Tag-Panel
or Ctrl-Q
to show or hide the tag panel

I used both approaches (Cntl-Q and View/Tag Panel). I still cannot edit my tracks. For example, I cannot add the cover art to each track in my selection.
