I just tried ver. 3.34 today and I am thrilled with the dark/light options and better toolbar icons – they’re great
. That said, I’m now gonna do what I absolutely hated people doing to me at work and that is having been presented with great new functions, now I ask for more (if they aren’t already included and I just missed them). What I’d like to be able to do is:
• have a Dark Toolbar while using Light Color Mode for everything else (the lime green icons on black background really pop)
• be able to space out my icon groups more (have a seperator about two icons wide)
For example: under File, Options, Appearance instead of just having “Colour Mode”, have the same Light/Dark options for areas like “Colour Mode - Toolbar”, “Colour Mode - Tag Panel” “Colour Mode" - Columns” and “Colour Options - Header”. Although as I write my idea out, I realise immediately that this request may be way too unreasonable.
Also for example, I have tons of space after the toolbar (see attached screenshot) the icons are so close together that even though I have “enhanced pointer precision” enabled (in Windows 11), the delete/undo icons are way too close for my comfort and I hate accidently hitting a delete icon when I am working fast (and I’m always working as quick as I can). When I go View, Toolbars, Customize Main Toolbar, I can move things around to make it better, but the best would be to have Save and Change Directory (my two most commonly used icons) at least a couple of icon widths away from all the other icons. Maybe it’s possible to add and edit function to the Seperator for varying width (like the column width setting in Excel) or have more than one kind of seperator - ones with varying widths (small, medium, large)?
Sorry about the size of the screenshot, but I wanted you to see what it really looks like in real/size-aspect. And thanks again for the work you’ve already done.
