Mp3 device (sony e436f) not recognized

Hi everybody,
sorry for my english (i'm italian).
This is my problem: when i connect my mp3 portable device to my pc (win xp), it recognizes the device, but i can't find it in the list of computer resources if i try to click on "change directory".
Why??
What could be the matter?
thnak you very much

Hi,

I doubt it that this has anything to do with MP3tag but what the heck.

If you Press CTRL-D (or File - Change Directory) and
under "My Computer" does it list your device ?

Here is some links what could help if it doesn't show.

And here is the manual (in Italian) for the device.

Thank you for your answers, but it's not a windows problem or a sony problem.
In fact, i can see the mp3 device in win xp, i can go in it, cut, copy and paste files, ecc.
By the way, in xp it's not recognized as an usb device, but like "walkman". is this fact something dealing with my problem? In fact, if i connect a generic usb device (like an external hard disk), mp3tag does recognize it!!!

Mp3tag does not support Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) that your player probably uses.

Thank you. So, there's no solution?
