Hello,
I have added some cover art to my MP3 files by Creevity Mp3 Cover Downloader(https://www.mydownloadplanet.com/v/creevity-mp3-cover-downloader/)
It seems that the cover art was added sucessfully as my car can display it.
But when I open those MP3 files in mp3tag it seems that there is
no cover art at all.
Why?
My conclusion would be that the covers have simply been dumped to the file system.
You would still have to embed them.
Use an action of the type "Import cover from file" and enter as
format string: *.jpg
I think that there is a misunderstanding.
Here is what I do:
I have a file with no cover art (mp3tag displays no cover art)
I add the cover art to mp3 using Creevity Mp3 Cover Downloader
Crevity displays the cover art.
Potplayer displays the cover art.
VLC displays the cover art.
Only mp3tag says that there is no cover art in the file at all.
I do not see any misunderstanding.
A number of players display pictures that can be found in the file system if none can be found in the files.
Enable the Mp3tag option to display pictures from the file system and you will get a similar impression
Hmm, but I believe that I do not have the cover arts stored separately in files. Though I am not 100% sure.
Where would they be? Hidden files with same name in the same folder? There are no such files here.
How can I enable the mp3tag option you mention? I cannot find it.
Disable reading of APEv2 at "Options > Tags > Mpeg". The file has an APEv2 tag which takes precedence over ID3v2 (where the cover is stored) if enabled.
