I've just released Mp3tag for Mac v1.9.10 with the following changes:

Fixed

  • MP4 gnre atom for GENRE used type identifier that was incompatible with Apple Music so that "Unknown Genre" was displayed instead of the actual genre (since v1.9.7). (#69825, #69850)

You can update the Mac App Store version via the Update tab in the App Store app and the standalone version from within the app via File → Check for Updates .
