Mp3tag starts minimized when launched

This is a trivial issue, but figured I'd ask.

I have Mp3tag set to "Always show icon in notification area" and "Minimize to notification area".
I typically have it running all the time, but if it's minimized (no icon in the Taskbar) and I need to shut down, I just right-click the system tray icon and click Exit from there.

The next time I launch MP3tag, it will start minimized, yet showing in the Taskbar, at which point I need to click the taskbar object to maximize it.

If I exit the same way from the system tray icon or File > Exit while maximized, then it will be maximized/in focus the next time I launch it.

I know why this works the way it does, but is there any way to make it so if MP3tag was closed while minimized to the system tray and the "Minimize to notification area" is enabled, that it would start maximized upon next launch?

Still running Windows 10 for the time being.

Not in Windows and with Mp3tag as it is, AFAIK.
You would have to search for a 3rd party tool to do that. Something like Maximize Always.

Do you start mp3tag from a desktop or taskbar shortcut? You can assign that to always start maximized in the windows option. (This has to be a shortcut to the program)

Thanks for the replies.

Re: setting shortcut to Run: Maximized, tried that already but unfortunately doesn't work.

Alright, this was worth a shot. I do the same thing for my startup folder, and have a few items run minimized. I set one to run maximized instead and it worked as expected. I didn't try it with mp3tag. As much as it is one of my favorite programs, I don't run it on every boot. :grinning:
