MP3tag tried to open non audio files

HI Folks,

Normally I just select all files in a folder and pick mp3tag from right click menu. When mp3tag opens its just the mp3’s but now it comes up with a box saying couldn't open file.jpg or file.pdf etc. These are normally filtered out.

It doesn’t do it if you pick the folder and then right click menu for mp3tag, only if you highlight the contents of the folder and do it.

Strange thing is its fine in Windows 11, and only happens on my Windows 10 PC. Tried reinstalling mp3tag but no change. Also checked the restrict incoming files setting.

Don't know if its a bug in v3.33.1 for win10 or just my pc messing about!!!

Check in your W10 system if you get the context menu entry for MP3tag in the list of "Open with" applications.
If MP3tag is included then you would have to remove this file association with means of the registry editor.
As this association has most likey been added manually, it does not get away when deinstalling the program.
