Mp3tag v2.96 released
I've just released Mp3tag v2.96 and wanted to take the opportunity to detail some of the new features and changes for you.
Support for Opus with *.ogg file extension
So far, tagging Opus files required a
*.opus file extension in Mp3tag. However, many applications are simply using Opus with the
*.ogg file extension, which is perfectly valid. With this release, Mp3tag detects Opus for files with the
*.ogg file extension — so no more renaming for you.
Improvements when copying cover art via clipboard
Mp3tag now also copies the original data next to an independent DIB format when copying cover art via the Windows clipboard. Previously, the independent DIB was re-encoded to a maximum quality JPEG, which was not the best option when the image was stored as, e.g., a PNG. Now, if you paste the cover to another file, the original format and data is used.
There are many other changes and fixes. See the changelog below and definitely get the new version.
