Need help converting Date to Year

I've tried file Format Value and searching around for the solution a bit but I couldn't find any solution. I was wondering how to do this automatically.

Several solutions:

  1. Converter Tag->Tag
    Field: YEAR
    Format String: $num(%date%,4) or $left(%date%,4)

  2. Action Type Format Value
    Field and Format String as above

  3. Action Type Guess Values
    Source Format: %date%
    Guessing Pattern: %year%.%dummy%
