No files added when adding files

I’m Using windows 11 to retag my Large Mp3 Library, However when I drag and Drop files Nothing shows up in MP3 tag. Please advise

Perhaps you have set a filter. Have a look at the bottom line in the right corner. There you can see how many files are loded.

To deactivate your filter press F3.

BINGO …. that worked for me. MP3’s were not loading for me also.

I hit the F3 button and they loaded just fine. I have working on this for 2 days and it was driving me crazy (not a very far trip). I went to send a message and your comment popped up. Thank You

They loaded also before. But you set a filter that did not match the loaded files and therefore they were not shown.

Thank you for the info. I got all 158 files loaded and tagged.

Its Still Saying zero Files

F3 Isnt working with this Problem

It looks like no-one could reproduce this so far.
So please show us screenshots after you have d&d the files, name file types, describe the data source - such things.

I have had this exact issue on my Mac, but on my last comp, so I cannot say if 1. my issue is the same, 2. it still happens on my new comp.

After a while, dragging any files to MP3tag just no longer worked. It wasn't the filter, it just no longer loaded files into the UI.

I've found that the more files I work with, the quicker that scenario happens, so that tracks with "my Large Mp3 Library".

My solution was restarting MP3tag. It blanked the file list, and seemed to clear whatever cache was clogging due to so many files being worked on.

Does that come closer to a solution to the OP's issue?

I could not reproduce any of this.

MP3tag does not have a cache.

Dragging&dropping fails e.g. if the user privileges of the files and the program do not match.
But that is form the start, it does not deteriorate.

Yeah, that happened with my old computer, and it was a Mac, so it may've been an unrelated computer issue that caused my thing.

Currently, I loaded my music folder (~25k files, ~165gb) into MP3tag, and then cleared it, 5 times, with no issue. And though I know MP3tag doesn't have it's own cache, I wonder if it was clogging my old comp because it was an old comp.

So I can't reproduce it anymore myself.
