Open LNK shortcuts as before rather than attempting to overwrite

Hello,

Ever since v3.31 (I’m guessing), when I export my custom list values for a field, I can no longer open / follow the LNK shortcut file that takes me to where I store my exports. What I mean is: I press the Export… button, the Select text file window appears, and when double-clicking a shortcut that exists in the folder that appears, instead of that shortcut being followed to the folder it points to, Mp3tag tries to save over it “foo.lnk already exists. Do you want to replace it?”.

This didn’t used to happen. Now I have to right-click the shortcut and choose Open folder location to get around the prompt. I have no idea what would happen if I answered with Yes.

Perhaps somewhat related to a previous bug from 2023?

It's related to this change [2025-06-26] CHG: symbolic links to folders are not dereferenced in open and save dialogs to more likely preserve user intent and follow platform conventions. That would explain it. Unfortunate. In this case I guess I can just add the LNK to the Quick Access list in the sidebar. Thanks anyway.
