Option to just add folders or files to tagging list without replacing previous

Hey.

It would be nice if we could have an option to just add files to the list of tags to edit instead of replacing everything that’s in the list.

Why?

If I want to copy tags from an old rip of an album to a newer one without having to export the tags first, or just add a bunch of folder you can’t just CTRL-A from a single folder… I just can’t.

Example:

“D:\Artist 1\Album1” has files I want but I also want to tag “D:\Artist 5\Album2”. Unless I move “Album2” in the “Artist 1” folder, I cannot add both albums to MP3tag because Album2 will replace Album1 if I try to add it to the list.

Thanks.

You can add whole folders with File>Add directory..." or press Ctrl before you drop any files onto file list.

Or you can press

Ctrl+H
to Add a directory…

Shows an open dialog to add a directory to the File List of Mp3tag. If you select the Subfolders option in this dialog, Mp3tag will also load all supported files from the subfolders of the selected folder.

I usually drag and drop into MP3tag so I’ll take this as the solution. Still, I’d prefer an option for this to be the default behavior.
