Opus Album Art in Windows 11

I'm aware this is a windows issue but i figure there may be those with some expertise in this area here.

I've recently acquired some opus files & had no problems tagging these files in mp3tag However The album art for these files does not display in Windows. I am also unable to see any of the metadata from the details view in windows file explorer.
I'd like to utilize Opus instead of M4A whenever I can't get my audio in FLAC or decent MP3 but if there are compatibility issues with windows then I'm not sure that it's worth this extra hassle. Is this an easy settings fix or should I stick to M4A?

The album art does show fine in VLC on PC & on my android device. Just not in WMP or Windows File Explorer.

Such is the frustration with the OS based integration. If there is no support for the format, this is the result. I wouldn't change my format preference on what Windows can or cannot do though. I would focus more on the player or media manager.
