thanks for contributing. but i have a question: how can I overwrite the current cover when import tags from Apple Music or iTunes?
Say no when you are asked if you want to keep it.
there is no warning pop up when import. should i check the box: when import cover
i also found problem: when the original cover is 4000x4000 or higher, it won't import
thanks for reply, I've solve the cover overwriting problem
i found new thing, maybe when the original cover format is png from Apple Music, it won't import, have to manually convert the format, or change the resolutions of cover
i use windows
You can import png-pictures but I think the reason might be that png-pictures with this resolution are insanely large. Save this file to a disk and have a look at the storage-size.
maybe you are right. i see the original resolution is 4000x4000, and the format is png, but the size is 28 MB
problem solved, thank you very much
I'd be careful with the images from iTunes/Apple Music. Many of the 3000px or 4000px images are upscaled heavily.
If you're unsure if an image is upscaled, you can open it in IrfanView for example and press CTRL + H. This zooms in to 100%. If the image is blurry in this view, it's likely an upscale that can be reduced in size without losing visual fidelity.
Often you can convert a 20+MB 4000px png from iTunes/Apple Music to a 1,5MB 1500px jpg without a noticeable loss of image quality.
