play track /stop track playing

I'm a newbie and also want to say that this program is the best (by a long way) that I have come across. But I have a simple question. If I highlight a track and right click and select Play, how do I stop the track playing - I can't find a Stop button anywhere but I'm sure it's me being stupid!

There is no stop button. The track is played in an external player, you must use this player.

You could make a new tool command in Mp3tag that sends a stop command to the external player. But this only works if the player supports command line.

Thanks for that explanation. But might it be a useful feature to add a Stop control on the right click menu (just as there is a Play control)?
