I attempted to drag & drop a small number of tracks and nothing happened so I then tried one track at a time.
The first thing that I noticed was that the next track would replace the track that is already in the MP3tag window. If this part of the design then I would like to suggest that as a new feature to be able to add tracks one at a time.
The next thing that I discovered was that I could not drag & drop all the tracks because one track had some kind of an issue. I suspect that it was the length of the filename (160 characters including spaces, title has 138 chars). An error message would have been helpful.
However if I right click on this track and select Open with MPtag it works, as does running MP3tag then selecting the Folder that the track is in.
Thank you.
The file is one of 6 that I ripped using Media Monkey 5. I've used the program several times before and never had the problem. It would be strange if that file had different access rights and none of the others did.
Since posting I tried uploading all 6 files to a Cloud storage account that I have. 4 files uploaded, that one and another didn't.
I tried renaming the files to shorten the length of the filename using Windows (F2), Windows wouldn't let me (no error message).
I then opened the file by itself with MP3tag and then renamed it without any trouble by dropping of a couple of words in parentheses at the end, thus shortening it.
The file then behaved normally (as did the other one).
Very strange I say.
