I can randomize a list of MP3s using View > Sort By > Randomize (or by clicking the column header of the first column) but has anyone managed to take the process a stage further and produce a "randomised" list where MP3s by the same Artist are evenly spaced or distributed to eliminate two MP3s by the same Artist appearing together or appearing with only a few MP3s separating them.
Has anyone managed to do this? Your help would be appreciated. Thanks Terson
You search for a way to get a list with unique titles from the same artist, randomized with other unique titles from other artists?
I don't think this is possible, because Mp3tag doesn't compare tracks in any way.
Thanks for your reply. I think I may have made the issue more complicated by using the word "tracks". I've updated my original post.
This is not possible with the built-in randomize possibility in Mp3tag.
You would have to move such "near hits" manually, pressing the Alt key on one of the near tracks/MP3 and move them away pressing the addtional Up or Down key.
Thanks, I didn't know about the ALT Up and Down shortcut. That will be useful for all sorts of situations. Cheers
