Recording a work session - Enregistrement d'une session de travail

Translate of French by Reverso.net

Hello everyone,

Here is my question of the day...

In the preamble, I set out the facts:

  • I have a huge "A" folder to tag, containing a lot of disparate albums by their original tags.
  • I open it by right-clicking with MP3tag.
  • I am working on a certain type of album whose tags are standardized by selecting only these, all that remains is to make my own modifications. Once these are done, I click right on my selection for the option 'remove from the list'.
There, I receive a call, the Eiffel Tower folded in two, I have to go fix it, I will be gone for a long time...

My question of the day:
Can I register my work session and then resume it (once the Eiffel Tower is repaired... in a few months; years; centuries... ) as I had left it, without having to resume the complete "A" folder?

I think it must be possible through the 'file' menu, but I don’t know which option to choose...

Thank you in advance
Garotapi

Merci d'avance
Garotapi

You can set MP3tag to start in the last used folder.
MP3tag does not restore the last working environment (unless it happens to be equal to the starting folder).

Ah, that’s a real shame... Too bad... Afterwards, we already save so much time by retagging the files with Mp3Tag, that I wouldn’t ask for the moon. I would reselect the already processed files to remove them from the list.

Thank you for your quick response, ohrenkino  Have a good day

You could apply a filter to see only those files that you want to treat at the moment.
The filter would be kept between sessions.

Instead of loading the folder you can load the files. If you saved the files with Mp3tag the file-modification-date and time normally were actualized (unless you change an option in Mp3tag to leave it unchanged). So don't load the files with the modification-date of the day you started to repair the Eiffel Tower.
