Release year duplicated as "2025\\2025" when editing with other apps

I noticed a weird bug in Mp3tag.

When I add the year tag in other apps (like Squeed or Tag Editor 2) and then open the mp3s in Mp3tag, the year section shows “2025\\2025” (in this case for 2025, but if the year is 2014 it would show 2014\\2014). But this doesn’t happen if I first add the year in Mp3tag.

I am using version Version 1.9.6 on Mac.

It means that you have 2 tag fields of the type YEAR - see the extended tags dialogue which should show YEAR twice.
You can remove such fields with an action of the type "Remove duplicate fields".

Multi-value fields are according to standard.
