Remove year and genre

Is there a garunteed way to remove all instance of the YEAR and GENRE metadata? I've tried all manners but could not find one single way to remove just the year and genre metadata. I've played with all type of switches but nothing seem to go in and nuke the year and genre fields.

i use the remove field options with: GENRE;TCON;TCO;YEAR;DATE;TDRC;TYER;TYE;TDAT;TIME;TIM;ORIGINALDATE;ORIGYEAR;TORY;TDOR;XDOR;TDRL;TDTG;TXXX:ORIGINAL YEAR;TXXX:ORIGINALYEAR;TXXX:YEAR;TXXX:DATE;TXXX:GENRE; GENRE;TCON;TCO;YEAR;DATE;TDRC;TYER;TYE;TDAT;TIME;TIM;ORIGINALDATE;ORIGYEAR;TORY;TDOR;XDOR;TDRL;TDTG;TXXX:ORIGINAL YEAR;TXXX:ORIGINALYEAR;TXXX:YEAR;TXXX:DATE;TXXX:GENRE

can someone tell me how to remove all instance of the year and genre field?

Could you show us the extended tags dialogue of a file in which the action did not treat GENRE and YEAR the way you want it?

The original list has a fair number of duplicates. Cleaning up may ease the handling.

Another footnote:
only GENRE and YEAR are supported fields in MP3tag. All other field names in your list are user-definded fields which are probably not displayed in MP3tag's default user interface but only in the extended tags dialogue.
User-defined fields are not widely supported by players, so it is unlikely that you will see data from the named list of fields in the player.

If your aim is to remove any kind of user-defined field that might contain data that looks like YEAR or GENRE with an action, then you will fail as you will not be able to anticipate all the various mis-spellings and other field names.

Another addition:
If you know which fields you want in your files and that you do not want any others so they can be remove, try the action

with a list of fields that you want to keep.
