Rename directory to capitalize single letters

I have another question, not sure I should start a new thread or not so just gonna ask here.

I have a _DIRECTORY Format Value:
Z:\My Music\! %location%\$left(%artist%,1)\%artist%\'['%year%']' '['$left(%comment%,1)']' %artist% - %album%

I was trying to figure it out on my own, but I just can't wrap my head around these syntax's. Anyway, how do I capitalize the letters? So these:
$left(%artist%,1) AND $left(%comment%,1)

$upper($left(%artist%,1)) and $upper($left(%comment%,1))
