Given the number of FLAC files one utilises the app on , should the name not recognise that also ?
IMHO never change a household brand name.
Have you suggested at Apple that they should rename the iPhone to something like iChatMailMapBrowserPhone as you hardly use it as a phone for plain old telephone services any more?
Also, I would see the empasis of FLAC files as unjusitifed favouritism in the light of the other supported file types:
- Advanced Audio Coding (aac)
- Apple Lossless Audio Codec (alac)
- Audio Interchange File Format (aif / aifc / aiff)
- Direct Stream Digital Audio (dsf)
- Free Lossless Audio Codec (flac)
- Matroska (mka / mkv)
- Monkey's Audio (ape)
- Mpeg Layer 3 (mp3)
- MPEG-4 (mp4 / m4a / m4b / iTunes kompatibel)
- Musepack (mpc)
- Ogg Vorbis (ogg)
- IETF Opus (opus)
- OptimFROG (ofr / ofs)
- Speex (spx)
- Tom's Audio Kompressor (tak)
- True Audio (tta)
- Windows Media Audio (wma)
- WavPack (wv)
- WAV (wav)
there's no way I can add to such a comprehensive post .
