I'm trying to sort my music collection, if I select all then go to extended tags there are a tonne of tags that are not currently in columns (or the tag panel).
Would it be possible to add an option to add tag to columns (and tagpanel) from a right click on tag name, in the extended tags list?
Theres probably a better way of adding them all to columns.ini but I haven't worked it out otherwise.
You are missing the point of my post.
I know how to customise columns, this is a feature request for a different, quicker way to add them.
(eg: adding 10 columns manually takes time, whereas; right clicking on existing tag in extendedtags and adding to columns that way would be far quicker)
I am not sure if the procedure would be quicker in the end.
Right now, the position in the list of columns of tag panel fields is respected and the new field is added next to the currently selected item in the field list.
If you add fields from the alphabetically sorted field list in the extended tags dialogue, there is no hint to where that column or item should be added.
The desirable position would only be met accidentally. In most other cases you would have to open the "customize" dialogue and move the new item to the correct position.
For tag panel fields there are a number of attributes that should be set to cater for a proper layout.
I agree that an option to add a field from the extended tags would be a shortcut but I doubt that it would really speed up things considerably, esp. if you plan to allow multiple selections which I read from
as after the initial extension of the list of items each item would have to be checked individually and for that you would have to open the customization dialogues for each field.
