New user here. I have tried searching on the forum and google. Tried a few things and scripts but nothing seems to work.
I ripped 200+ cds but neglected to make playlists for each individual cd as i went.
Is there a simple way to create playlists for each individual album in its own folders. To be clear I would like to load my folder with 200 albums and automatically create the own individual playlist for that album only but all at once and have the playlist added to each individual folder where the flacs are. I can do them individually but is there no way to do it all at once automatically?
That would have been too easy. It puts all the playlists in the main folder not individual folders. If i move the playlist to the folder manually the files don’t play.
That is most astounding as I get a preview that shows an individual playlist in each album folder (provided, the files are organized in separate folders).
I get this preview:
Wow awesome, I changed my strings to match yours and now it puts a .m3u files in each folder. Do you know how to set the file so that it reflects the album instead of just .m3u?
you get data only from fields that are actually there.
If you have not filled ALBUMARTIST yet but only ARTIST, then no data will be displayed if ALBUMARTIST is referenced.
Still, it is advisable to not only use ARTIST but also ALBUMARTIST as there are some albums that are released under a certain name (e.g. Peter Gabriel and his album "So") but there is a duet on that album with Kate Bush, so the data in ARTIST is "Peter Gabriel & Kate Bush".
Consequently, you would get 2 albums: one by Peter Gabriel only and one by Peter Gabriel & Kate Bush while the album would be known as one by Peter Gabriel.
So, if ALBUMARTIST does not work in your environment due to lack of data, try %artist% instead - with the risk to get more than one album playlist if there is different data in the field ARTIST for an ALBUM.
