Is there a straight-forward listing of recommended MP3 Tag settings for preparing to add music to Roon ?
Roon has been misbehaving lately , breaking up boxsets into individual albums , refusing to recognise SSD and replacing Steven Wilson with Steve Wilson ! Anything that would help to make my collection appear more 'uniform' in Roon would be much appreciated

If it is Roon that is
then I would check what the player does.
Generally, I would say that tagging usually does not change functions of a player
Did you make any ROON update lately?
Otherwise, I suggest to ask over in the ROON forum whether other users are experiencing the same behaviour.
There are others having problems over there but Support is quite patchy , people have waited over a month without getting a reply .
I simply want organise my music as best for Roon (or JRiver/Amarra or anything else ) playback.

From a previous conversation I recall that there is a setting in Roon that allows for selecting your own metadata in place of Roon’s at Settings → Library → Import Settings.
