I am a brand new member on this forum and equally green when it comes to making my audio books play in the proper file sequence.
As a first step into the world of portable audio, I recently purchased a SanDisk Sansa e260 player (a member of the Sansa e200 series). Is there someone out there who is experienced with this new player? Before I attempt to load my audio files onto that player, I need to get myself oriented in this field (mp3 and such), which is totally new to me.
I have several questions:
- Of all the columns in MP3TAG's main window, which ones influence the playback sequence?
- On audiobooks consisting of several CDs, how must I name the individual files / titles?
- Is there or are there one or more "typical" naming schemes for the many files in audiobooks?
What confuses me is the fact that the entries I see in the "Tag" column are all identical, namely "ID3v2.3 (ID3v1 ID3v2.3)", and I wonder which of the columns is used to control the playback sequence?
I would be very grateful for any suggestion!
Thank you in advance,
