Select first file after opening

Often I want to add just 1 tag field for 1 file, so I open the file from a file manager with F4, then add 1 tag field, e.g. year or genre, then save, but it doesn't work like this.

The problem is, that opened file is not selected, so if I add the field, it's not added to opened file.

Workaround is to open file and press Down arrow key and Tab.

It would be better, if the first file would be selected automatically, as option.

I'm using v3.06a, Windows 10 20H2 64-bit.

See whether you ticked File>Options>General>Select all files on opening.
And if you open only 1 file, "all" would be the one.
