Silence At Start/Finish

Hi,

Awhile ago i ripped some Ministry of Sounds discs and have since messed them up.
I over wrote many tracks with tracks of the same name as to save space.

Is there a way to see if a certain track has silence/fade at the beginning/end?, Can MP3TAG do this or another software?

Many thanks Dev for the 64bit upgrade.

regards

Beanie

You need an audio editor for that. MP3tag is a tag editor.

Ah ok, i saw a post on here and thought it was part of the program.

In an image on that post it was using BSI Simian to get fade info. way over my head.

thanks again.

@Beanie

Hello Beanie, for the BSI Simian, on the subject of fades, you have surely seen images with Intro and Segue

It's not the same thing:

Intro: As the name suggests, this allows us to tag a song
Example: 8 seconds before the singer starts singing

In the BSI Info Editor we will place 8 seconds in Mp3tag, this gives 8000 in milliseconds
When this song goes on air with BSI Simian, there will be a timer that tells us that we have 8 seconds to speak before the singer starts singing...

For the Segue, we program at the end of an audio song, when the sound begins to drop, if I program
Segue 4 seconds (Mp3tag 4000 milliseconds), which allows the BSI Simian to take another song which will play on the air at the same time as the 1st song which ends, this prevents what we call blanks on the air, which prevents an audio mute, between the 2 songs...

Here is the program that can help you, to do what you want,
Audacity, it's free, I've already worked with this program, for what you want to do, it'll be perfect...
