I upgraded to v3.24. Now, when I start my PC I have a window appear.
Local Disk (C:) > ProgramData > Microsoft > Windows > StartMenu > Programs > Startup > Mp3tag.
Be jiggered if I can prevent this.
If you close this "Windows File Explorer" window and restart your PC, does it reappear automatically?
If yes:
Do you have any entries in your "Task-Manager" Autostart-Tab that could explain this Explorer Window?
Hi lyrics Lover. Thank you for your suggestion. Yes, the window is there every time I start the PC.
There is no Autostart tab in the Task Manager. Windows 10 Pro
Beside the Autostart-Tab in "Task-Manager" there are dozens of other possibilites for such an entry.
A list of files and registry entries can be found in this article:
The linked tool "Autoruns" can help to find the possible cause.
Download the autoruns.zip and start the "Autoruns64.exe" from this archive.
I would start searching in the "Logon"-Tab.
In the Tab "Everything" you can filter for a search term like Mp3tag.
Unfortunately we can't tell you the exact app or path to it. You would have to look for it on your side.
Thank you all for advice. Downloaded Autoruns as suggested and it solved the problem.
thanks again
Thank you for your feedback.
Would you mind to tell us what exactly was the cause?
That way other user can learn what they have to look for.
Hi, I really don't know. I upgraded to v3.24 and it started then. I have just upgraded to v3.25 and I was carful to untick shortcut to start up folder. Maybe I missed that before.
It's all OK now
