Support for improving cover quality

Hello,

Please may I ask for some help?

I am adding covers of my source which are jpg. and at the same time editing my playlist which is from vinyl ready for upload to Centova Cast as a playlist but the quality of the Metadata for the album cover is very poor.

Please can someone tell me how I can improve the quality of the covers?

Load better covers and replace the existing ones?
MP3tag does not rate the quality of the embedded data. So it would be up to you to identify the covers of a low quality and then look for these one by one.

Image quality that is perceived as poor can have many causes.

  • Low resolution
  • poor scan
  • Compression too high

MP3Tag can help you filter out MP3s with low resolution covers. So i.e. if you want to see only files with a horizontal resolution lower than 600 pixel just use this filter-expression:
%_cover_width% LESS 600
