Tag random files to only ID3v2.3 UTF-16

Hello,

I've got files with various combinations of tags such as APEv2, ID3v1, ID3v2, Lyrics3v2.

The aim is to remove all other tags and have my files only tagged with ID3v2.3 UFT-16.

My thinking here is READ all format of tags so everything is visible. WRITE only ID3v2.3 UTF-16. REMOVE ID3v1 and APE as I don't plan to use these format of tags.

First of all are the settings above for MPEG correct? Secondly, what do I do next?

  1. Select all >> save.
  2. Select all >> right-click >> remove tag >> save.

Or do these provide the same outcome? Thanks

I'll be cleaning up the tags such as comment, composer, discnumber, but want to get the procedure correct first.

I think the settings are ok if you want to remove Id3V1 and APE.
Do as you described in step 2.
