Trying to move artist tag info to composer tag info but gettting no result except loss of artist tag info
You have these backwards. You want to set the field COMPOSER and the format string should be %artist%.

Just remember, for most actions you first tell mp3tag what field you want to adjust, then you give it guidance on how you want it to get there.
