I have songs in my library opened up with windows explorer Well the geniuses at Microsoft destroyed the ability to rename and tag songs so I am here. I dragged a song into the Mp3tag window re-tagged the song and now what do I do as it has not reflected the changes in windows explorer.
Have you saved your changes back into the file with the blue floppy disc icon or Ctrl + S or menu File -> Save Tag?
Which WIndows Version do you use?
I tried W10 and W11 and you can still modify tag data in the properties dialogue in both versions.
No didn't see this where. Is it do I right click the song after editing it
Not user friendly at all windows 10 was a breeze i just either pressedF2 or right clicked the song and edited it and done easy 1 2 3
AFAIk F2 starts the function to rename a file.
The modification of a file name is no tagging.
Tags are embedded metadata in the file, the filename is managed by the OS in e.g. something like the file allocation table.
So: what are we taking about? File name or metadata?
