Tags not saved for several files

I have a strange problem with just 3 albums in my collection - no matter how i insert them (through Pone's Discogs extension or by manually entering the tag info), the files do not retain the information

They are all MPEG 1 Layer III files like most of the rest of the collection and at one time they held the info (as it still reads the info if you look up the file's properties in Windows Explorer), but nothing will save in mp3tag when i edit them

i have attached a picture below to show what i see in mp3tag window

Help or advice most appreciated!

Please attach a readable screenshot of the dialog window ...
Mp3tag/Tools/Options/Tags/Mpeg

Setup a column in the Listview ...
Name: TagRead (TagTypes)
Value: %_tag_read%[' ('%_tag%')']

Ok, they are all as follows: "APEv2 (ID3v1 ID3v2.3 APEv2)"

Different from the others which are all "ID3v2.3 (ID3v1 ID3v2.3)"

I am guessing this is the reason, but don't understand what has happened...? Or more importantly how I change them back

As APE overrules all other tag versions, you see the (probably empty) APE tags.
So, if you untick the "read" for APE tags, you should see the ID2-tags. And if you are lucky, they still have the data.
