Edit tags is inconveniently hidden somewhere, why???
I don't understand what you mean.
Extended Tags, that’s what I mean, its so second nature, I found it after 20 minutes.
Alt-T is usually the fastest way.
The position in the toolbar hasn't changed, the tooltip is the same ... so I am not sure what the problem is.

I suspect that what you missed is that the Extended Tags dialog is only available when one or more files is selected....
