I used Discogs to add metadata to an album.
The Album Tracks were numbered A1-A5 and B1-B7
Normally, I can click the Column header labeled Track and it resorts them alphabetically after the metadata is updated, but after the latest update, it is not working anymore. I manually numbered the tracks 1-12 and it sorts the numbers properly, but with the letters in there indicating sides A and B of the album, it didn't seem to know what to do, leaving them in the same order. All the other columns continue to sort as expected.
What is your current "Sort by" entry for your column "Track"?
(You can right click on a column header, then Customize Columns, then click on the entry for your "Track" and see at "Sort by")
Also, it could be that you have ticked the option to sort the track number numerically.
I've never seen those options before, I've never had to adjust them for my purposes. But Sort-by was empty and sort numerically was checked. Unchecking it solved the issue - but I noticed that it changed the Justification of the column from Left Justified to Right Justified - which just looks wrong.
This had never been an issue before, I wonder what changed, it wasn't something I did.
That seemed to fix it. That's not something I even knew could be changed. I wonder what caused it.
I don't think that this behaviour has changed recently. It is also listed in the documentation about this check box:
Do you speak about the latest update of Discogs? Or the latest Mp3tag version? (What was your previous Mp3tag version? Or when did you make the last Mp3tag update?)
I'm referring to the latest Mp3tag version. I update it every time it alerts me there's a new version when I open the software. I just updated it today, and that's when I noticed the behavior change.
