Track numbers out of sequence

I'm sure this will have been covered before but I can't seem to ask the right search question to get an answer!

If I rip an album with Goldwave and split the file I end up with sequential file numbers track 01, track 02...etc, but when I import these into MP3tag, I always seem to get the final track first.

I'm sure it's simple but how do I avoid this?

I do not see that you actually sort by the column filename - click on the column header to step through the different ways of sorting.
I take it that the field TRACK has not been filled yet, so if you click on the column header for Track, you get more or less a random orders as you sort non-existent data.

Cool - thanks for that. Didn't realise you could click the column hesder to sort. Doh!
