Trimming Fields?!

I have all my MP3s harmonically archived, meaning that the Camelot Wheel is what is written to the comments field.

Some time ago I used Mixed in Key and it added the BPM after the key.

Is there a way I can create an action that trims this down? I would appreciate it if I had one that did both three char fields as well as 2 char.

At the moment they look like this

12A - 123.00
12A - 135.01
9A - 130
9B - 135

etc

I want it to look like:

12A
12A
9A
9B

as I already have a script that adds a leading zero to them and makes them look all nice :slight_smile:
I have never used such a powerful mp3 tagging application in all my 15 years of MP3ing.. I am so impressed, please keep up the good work.

This action should do the trick

Action type: Replace with regular expression
Field: COMMENT
Regular expression: (.+?) .*
Replace matches with: $1

[ ] case-sensitive comparison
