Hello Mp3tag community. I've been using this tagging program for a while, and it's saved me so much time when it comes to organizing my music. Right now, though, I've got a bit of a strange issue that I need to tackle, but I have no idea how I could go about it.
The way I have most of my albums sorted on my desktop is by disc number and track number, as most people would. However, I also have a copy on an older MP3 player of mine, and it struggles with disc numbers. For example, multi-disc albums will typically clump up in terms of the first track for each disc (1.1, 2.1, 3.1, etc) whenever I pull up the album to listen to.
Since I have this full copy of my music library on my player, is there any way I can load up the entire library on my music player into Mp3tag, and re-number all of my tracks to be without disc numbers and just in one continuous track order? (Think instead of having 2 discs, each with 16 tracks, it would have no disc number and just have 32 tracks, but would maintain the order of the 2 discs.). I don't think I would need to automate this after the fact, since I'd only be copying albums at around 1-3 at a time after the fact, and at that scale, I could just do this by hand. I just want a way that'd hopefully let me do this to all of the files on the device at once instead of having to edit each album individually.
Any help would be appreciated!
