Unlisted Keyboard Navigation Shortcuts? #2

This may be a Windows issue because I didn't see it listed in this Community's Keyboard Shortcuts page, but I wonder if it's possible to advance upwards while editing fields (will be highlighted) on the List, NOT on the Tag Panel?

Currently I switch back and forth from keyboard to mouse, when it would be easier to type using just the keyboard (no snapshot):

ENTER (moves down)
TAB (moves to next field on the same line)
SHIFT + TAB (moves back one field on the same line)
????? (moves up)

This behaviour is related to your options-setting General - Automatically select next file when editing in the file view.
If someone deselects this option the content of the tagfield will only be saved.

If you frequently edit files by stepping through a list, then the extended tags dialogue Alt-T may be a better function as it has buttons to move forward and backwards in the list.

Not that I intend to use a shortcut to jump up in the list view with a field open for editing, but the "Extended Tagview" doesn't allow that. To edit, you always have to first select the field and then go into edit mode (F2).

Yes, I admit, that the extended tags dialogue will probably not speed up things.
If, on the other hand, you know that the next modification shall be applied to the previous file, then I think the only keyboard access would be
TabEscapeCursor upTab until you reach the required field
Or a simple mouse click (which is no keyboard shortcut)

Yes, I like this view because I have many to check. Thanks!

So now I discover that not all recordings share the same metadata tags; some are different. Are the ones shown per recording the only ones? Is there a way to globally change them all to have the same tags?

Is this a problem that arises from keyboard navigation?
If not, please open a new topic.
And then it would help a lot if you could supply real examples, if those are not clear enough for us who cannot look over your shoulder, then illustrate them with the requested additional information.

Still no solution to this, so I've accepted to go back and forth from mouse to keyboard to navigate upwards while typing in "List" fields.

Why you don't just change the sort order?

Instead of going up one line with complicated keyboard shortcuts, you could change the sort order and just press ENTER to go to the next field one line down?
