Usage of "/" (slash) and "\" (backslash)

Hi,

accidently I used the slash instead of the backslash to rename files and got stuck in the "invalid character"-dialog to say cancel for 250 times.

What's about using the slash as backslash if it occures inside a "rename"-pattern?

Even MS Windows is not really clear about its usage and allows it in some places!

So you are suggesting that "/" should be converted to "" automatically or what (just to make sure I get you right)?
