User Agent Problems

#1

Hello again. Each time I run the latest beta my user agent string in the registry is updated to "User-agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; http://bsalsa.com)". From what I gather, the bsalsa.com is added because of some embedded web browser or something.

Is there a way to stop this from happening ? I find that alot of sites that I visit block the bsalsa.com value and redirect me to google.com.

The string is written to this location:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\User Agent\Post Platform

I hope there is a way to prevent this w/o changing browsers, addons, manual reg edits, etc. I would hate to stop using MP3Tag because of this.

Thanks.

Are you really sure that you're using Mp3tag from http://www.mp3tag.de/en/ ? Please also have a look at the screenshots if you're unsure.

Mp3tag is neither written in Delphi nor contains any bsalsa components.

Kind regards,
Florian

Sorry for the mistake. You are correct (being the developer you would know  ) I went through each app that I use and was refreshing the registry and checking w/regmon. It appeared when I opened MP3Tag...I jumped the gun...but I forgot I was debugging w/PHPEdit in the background - THAT is what caused the problem. I had every app closed, every tray item closed, etc. - but apparently was too blind to see the big PHPEdit in the taskbar :flushed:

Thanks for your quick response and your AWESOME program.
