using autonumbering wizard

I must confess that I'm just beginning to learn how to use this program. My first effort was an abysmal failure. I have a series of audio files recorded as mp3 files which I would like to number consecutively. My thought was that the autonumbering wizard would do this.

But even though I highlight all of the files and use the autonumbering wizard, the files are not subsequently renumbered.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

I record the same programs off the internet each day, broken into segments for easier listening. Is there some way to automatically tag those programs as recorded?

The autonumbering wizard stores the track numbers in the track field of the tag. You can use the converter :mt_ttf: Tag - Filename to rename your files using the track number information from the tag.
