I've tagged 10 channel wav files using a different app (Music Media Helper). The tags created using this application will not display in MP3TAG.
Other apps read the tags and these files are not corrupted.
The developer of the MMH app told me he writes tags as "WaveFormatExtensible" for the wav files.
Does MP3TAG support this type of tagging?
Thanks
If you load such WAV files into Mp3tag and then press Alt+T (Menu View -> Extended Tags) do you see your tags created with Music Media Helper?
No. They are not there.
When you compare files in hex editor, MP3Tag places the tags at end of the file while the MMH editor places the tags at the beginning of the file.
Then I would say the answer is:
No.
(Valid for the current Mp3tag version 3.28a)
So, in your opinion would this need to be a request for mp3tag to add this support?
Thanks
You could write a new topic as "Feature Request" describing in more details why Mp3tag should support your 10 channel wav files and why this could be useful for others too.
Please also describe why you would like to use Mp3tag, if you already tag your files in Music Media Helper.
