Windows Wants Me to Re-Download Every Time I Want to Open App

I can download and run Mp3Tag, but only once. Everytime I want to run it again from the Windows start menu, I'm shown a Windows Store dialog with the message: "We couldn't verify and restore this app from your backup because it is not available in the Microsoft store." I then must press the "Download from Website" button to reinstall Mp3Tag. Every time! Obviously, that get old pretty fast. Why can't I just open your app like from the Windows Start menu like every other program? Thanks.

I think a deinstallation and a clean installation would be the fastest way.
Perhaps you save the configuration before you deinstall the program and then restore the configuration once you got it installed and working again.

Maybe it was because I installed MP3Tag as a portable app. I will deinstall it and reinstall it using Standard Installation and see what happens. Thanks.

The Windows Store version cannot be installed as a portable version. This must have been from a prior installation.

I would uninstall everything then reboot. Reinstall the standard version with the latest download install from this site. That will let you add a desktop shortcut plus have the start menu as well.

Because the portable installation doesn't add any start menu entries, you probably got the Microsoft Store search result when you entered the name in the search field of the start menu.

Yes. I simply added the portable version .EXE to my task bar, and now have no trouble opening your app. Thanks.
